Who is behind this site
tromsosnowshoe.com is run by Patrick Kühne, an independent travel publisher based in Markkleeberg near Leipzig, Germany. He builds and maintains a small portfolio of guides to attraction tickets and day tours. There is no agency and no rotating editorial team behind this site: the pages are researched, written and kept up to date by one person — the same one who answers the e-mails.
What this site does
Snowshoeing in Tromsø comes in more shapes than most visitors expect: a 2.5-hour walk on the city's own island, proper 4–5-hour wilderness hikes in the fjord landscape, evening tours under a sky that might light up with aurora, and combination tours that add huskies or reindeer to the hike. We describe what actually separates them — including the things the listings mention less loudly, like how strenuous snowshoeing really is for first-timers, and that the city-close walk is recreation-area hiking rather than wilderness. Then we show live prices so the choice can be made in one place. We are not a booking agent — every reservation happens on the booking platform.
How we earn money
